Staff at Westerly doctor’s office deserves thank you

Angels? Recently, my husband had an appointment at Dr. David Rivera’s office in Westerly. As he was entering the door for the appointment, he collapsed, nearly falling to the floor except for the quick thinking and action of the woman escorting him. She grabbed his arm and held on. Another woman got a chair. Then a couple more women staff members came to help, one saying she was going to call the ambulance. He was unresponsive for several minutes, but no one panicked and just kept holding him.

I don’t know if this is part of their training or not, but they were really spectacular in their response. I am just more grateful that we were there and I couldn’t be more grateful to this spectacular staff. Angels without wings? Absolutely.

The ambulance crew arrived shortly and brought him to the hospital. He was given excellent care and kept overnight for observation.

I can’t say enough about the staff at Dr. Rivera’s office — for their kindness and efficiency above and beyond the call of duty.
