  • Board members have moral obligation to put town first

The Westerly “appointment process” is vital to ensuring that town’s board members meet the moral standards of our town. That means that all Westerly town board members, as well as town appointers, have a moral obligation to put the interests of Westerly’s “common good” before their special interests.

Until the Westerly Town Council enforces this moral obligation by holding all board appointees accountable, and not covering up for them when they “rig the game,” unethical and immoral board members will continue to put their own self-interests before the interests of Westerly’s common good.
