McAnanly embodies teamwork, quality and integrity

The day after the Stonington first selectman debate, I walked the halls of my workplace looking at the wall hangings left there by my former supervisor, Glee McAnanly.

In the 17 years that I have known Glee, the posters echoed the character I have seen reflected in her actions year after year: teamwork, quality and integrity. Glee has led teams of all sizes in her business career, from husband-and-wife teams to nationwide response teams that helped restore the Pentagon after 9/11. She constantly pushes for better ways to do things, challenging her teams to do better today than they did yesterday.

The integrity sign was purposely placed in our old conference room by Glee in a place that everyone could see during meetings, because she wanted us to think about that while crafting business strategy and planning the future. I hope that the people of Stonington take an opportunity to improve their future and “Go With Glee.”
