Cooke deserves praise for supporting charter change

I am pleased to see Councilor Cooke’s guest column, in the Oct. 21 edition of The Sun, in support of the charter change I presented to the council on two separate occasions this past summer, as well as in a published letter to the editor in August.

It is encouraging to know that we the citizens of Westerly are being heard and understood.

Councilor Cooke is to be commended for his leadership in calling for change in the appointment process, as well as this very important change to the charter.
