Gratitude, appreciation for Tower Street CC programs

Daniel Patrick Moynihan, the late United States senator from New York, noted, “Everyone is entitled to their own opinion but not their own facts.” We would like to express our appreciation to the Tower Street Community Center for encouraging the separation of fact from opinion by hosting the current events book discussion group “Politics, Politicians and We the People.” The well-attended first meeting was held Thursday, Oct. 17, and the discussion of the book was both lively and spirited.

The next meeting of the group is Thursday, Nov. 21, at 6:30 p.m., and we invite those who have opinions and like to discuss current events to register online at 93tower.org.

The center continues to play a critical role in the Westerly community by sponsoring many programs, including those that support children and families in activities offered both before and after school. By sponsoring this book discussion group, the center adds another dimension to its mission. We thank them for their support.
