  • Cardozo: I meant no insult

I would like to respond to the recent letters regarding the Chariho School Committee meeting held October 8. The issue that has raised so much discussion is the cost of paying two principals for elementary schools in Hopkinton. I requested this item be added to the agenda for the meeting to raise healthy discussion and invite questions or concerns from taxpayers in our district.

The criticism seems to be the method of delivery, rather than the content, for which I accept full responsibility.

My goal was not to inconvenience or insult any member of our community. I am not a politician and so I serve merely to develop opportunities for our children, teachers and community. My actions are without expectation of garnering future votes – I work in the present.

    Robert Cardozo

    Richmond

The writer is a member of the Chariho School Committee.
