Record-Journal

STONINGTON — One person was transported to the hospital for treatment and a second Westerly Ambulance crew was called as a precautionary response to assist another victim after a collision at the intersection of Pequot Trail and South Anguilla Road this morning.

First responders said the injuries were non-life threatening. Emergency personnel with the Stonington Police Department and Pawcatuck Fire Department were dispatched to the intersection just after 8 a.m. with reports of a two-car collision.

A Ford Focus and a four-door sedan collided, resulting in both vehicles being pushed off the north side of Pequot Trail where they came to rest.

Motorists were experiencing minor delays, but one lane remained open and officers were on scene to direct traffic through the area. No major delays were expected, police said. Further details were not available.
