River nature tours offered down Pawcatuck River

STONINGTON — The Stonington Historical Society and Save the Bay will offer one-hour river nature tours with historical narration. Boats will depart from the Viking Marina, 19 Margin St., Westerly., and cruise down the Pawcatuck River and into Little Narragansett Bay to discover the coastal history, winter wildlife, and environmental issues in the region and search for seals who winter in Long Island Sound.

The cost is $22 or $17 for seniors and children, ages 3-12. Tours are scheduled for Saturdays beginning this week.
