Fire destroys home on Cossaduck Hill Road

NORTH STONINGTON— Five residents have been displaced after a fire destroyed their raised ranch at 256 Cossaduck Hill Road Wednesday afternoon.

Two adults and three children were provided with temporary housing and emergency food and shelter, according to Paul Shipman, spokesman for the southeastern Connecticut chapter of the American Red Cross.

The house appears to be a total loss, according to Fire Marshal George P. Brennan. The cause of the fire is still unknown, he said, and remains under investigation.

According to online records, the house is owned by Andrew and Tamara Gaskins.
