PROVIDENCE (AP) — The Rhode Island International Film Festival is accepting entries for its annual competition of works focusing on the state’s spirit and character.
Entries for the “Spotlight on Rhode Island” competition are being accepted through Dec. 21.
Scripts can be in any genre and take place in the present day or a historic period. They may include a feature film, movie of the week or television pilot.
The winner will be announced in February.
Rhode Island native Rachel Smith won this year’s competition with a screenplay about a workaholic transplant surgeon who cares more about the organs she operates on than the people they belong to.
