Westerly grad is top five finalist for ‘Rhode Show’

WESTERLY — Samantha Read, a 2009 Westerly High School graduate, is a top five finalist in the 2014 Rhode Show “Search for a Star” contest run by WPRI-12. A 2013 graduate of Springfield College with a degree in sports communication and journalism, Read is currently working for SNY.tv in Manhattan.

Auditions for the contest were held at Twin River in Lincoln in September. After making the top 20, Read auditioned for a second round and was voted one of the top five finalists.
