Swamp Yankee Days to offer fire truck show, demos, rides


RICHMOND — Swamp Yankee Days this weekend offers family-friendly activities at the Washington County Fairgrounds, 78 Richmond Townhouse Road.

The two-day event will be held from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. today and Sunday at the fairgrounds, rain or shine. Admission is $5 for adults; children 10 and younger are admitted free.

Activities include a fire truck show, an antique tractor parade, a karate demonstration, barrel train rides, hay rides, pumpkin painting and cow chip bingo sponsored by the Charlestown Rotary Club. There will also be live music all weekend long, including from the Old Time Fiddlers.
