STONINGTON — Three men have been arrested by Stonington police, charged with an armed robbery at a Mobil gas station in Mystic shortly after midnight.
Police said the caller reported a weapon, which was not identified by the police, was displayed and an undisclosed amount of cash was stolen. Others have identified the weapon as a knife.
There were no injuries reported.
Police responded to the call and said as a result of their initial investigation of the robberty, they arrested three men.
The men arrested were brothers Cory A. Tolbert, 25, and Wayne R. Tolbert, 22, both of 43R Long Pond South Road, Ledyard, and both of whom were charged with first-degree robbery and sixth-degree larceny; and Jeffrey M. Fauquet, 30, of Deer Ridge Road, Stonington, charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, sixth-degree larceny and using a motor vehicle without the owner’s consent.
The three men were each held on $50,000 bonds pending arraignment in New London Superior Court today.
Police said the investigation is ongoing.
