4th Division District Court, Feb. 1, 2014


The following Westerly police cases were heard before Judge Madeline Quirk in Wakefield on Friday:

Frank Fiasconaro, 58, of Wakefield, pleaded no contest to a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, first offense, blood-alcohol content .15 or greater (readings .169, .180). He was sentenced to the minimum sanctions of $500, 20 hours of community service, a three-month loss of license, attendance at DUI school, and costs and assessments. His attorney immediately filed and appeal.

Ryan T. Mayo, 32, of 17 Hobart St., Westerly, pleaded no contest to charges of simple assault and battery, and failure to stop at an accident with resulting damage. He was ordered to pay $300 in restitution and $500 to the victims fund. A charge of disorderly conduct was dismissed.

Dana K. Kasun Stamp, 58, of 20 Thompson Ave, Westerly, pleaded not guilty to charges of simple assault and/or battery, and disorderly conduct. A trial is scheduled for Feb. 28.

Freeman N. Sarayusa, 24, of 24 Winnapaug Road, pleaded not guilty to charges of disorderly conduct and the purchase/procurement of alcohol for a minor. A pretrial hearing is scheduled for March 7.

Jose R. Rios, 38, of 153 High St., Westerly, had a charge of domestic disorderly conduct dismissed after the alleged victim refused to pursue the case.

John N. Hughes, 60, of 20 Granite St., Apt. 12, Westerly, pleaded not guilty to a charge of making crank or obscene phone calls. He was ordered to have no contact with the victim. He was released on a promise to appear on Feb. 14.

Jared W. Brown, 24, of 72 Friendship St., had domestic charges of refusal to relinquish a telephone, simple assault/battery and disorderly conduct dropped after the alleged victim refused to testify.

Yvonne N. Durfee, 21, of 56 Cross St., Apt. 3, Westerly, pleaded not guilty to a charge of selling or concealing leased property. She was released on a promise to appear on Feb. 14.

Jessica M. Hartley, 29, of 12 Mountain Ave., Westerly, had a charge of larceny dismissed after paying restitution.

Steven A. Dubois, 52, of 181 Church St., Bradford, pleaded not guilty to a charge of willful trespass. He was released on a promise to appear on Feb. 14.

Steve Sinardi, 33, of North Kingstown, pleaded not guilty to driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, first offense, blood-alcohol level unknown, and failure to submit to a chemical test to determine intoxication.

David W. Crandall, 53, of 9 Maxson Hill Road, Ashaway, pleaded not guilty to a charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, first offense. He was released on a promise to appear on Feb. 14.

Jennifer Boss, 35, of 115 Bowling Lane, Bradford, had a charge of disorderly conduct filed for a year. She was issued a no contact order.

Connor Panciera, 19, of 111 Panciera Lane, Bradford, pleaded not guilty to fraudulent use of a credit card. He was released on a promise to appear on Feb. 14.
