Letter: Please support Terri Brodeur breast cancer walk

On Oct. 4, I will again be joining hundreds of walkers in walking a full 26.2-mile marathon, half-marathon or quarter-marathon through southeastern Connecticut for the Terri Brodeur Breast Cancer Foundation Walk Across Southeastern Connecticut to raise funds for breast cancer research. Participating in the Brodeur Walk allows me to be a part of something that will affect the lives of many people. As a physician and husband of a breast cancer survivor, I know how important research into finding a cure is.

What is so amazing about Brodeur foundation is that 100 percent of gross funds goes directly to breast cancer research! So every dollar raised in support of my walk or contributed to any walker, goes directly to fund research. Since 2006, the foundation has raised and made grants of over $2.7 million to promising breast cancer researchers.

Please check out the Brodeur walk at tbbcf.org or call 860-245-0402 to register, volunteer, or to sponsor a walker.
