Police logs: June 18, 2014


Hopkinton

Mason Brown Quimby, 21, of 10 Tautog Lane, Charlestown, was charged Sunday with domestic vandalism/malicious injury to property and domestic disorderly conduct.

Evelyn G. Holt, 37, of 10 Edgewood Lane, Ashaway, was charged Monday with two counts of domestic simple assault and/or battery and simple assault and/or battery.

Stonington

Edmond L. Vianney, 37, of 29 Newton Ave., Apt. 3, Westerly, was charged Tuesday with 3rd-degree assault.

Richmond

Matthew Babik, 21, of 599 Main St., Hopkinton, was charged Saturday with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, first offense, blood alcohol content of .15 or greater. Police said they clocked Babik traveling 98 mph in a posted 30 mph zone. After being transported to the Richmond police station, Babik submitted to a Breathalyzer test with readings of .217 and .215, according to police. He was released on a promise to appear in 4th Division District Court on July 10.

Michael Novoian, 42, of South Kingstown, was charged June 14 with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, first offense, blood alcohol content unknown and refusal to submit to a chemical test to determine intoxication levels. He was taken to the station, arraigned before Justice of the Peace Michael Robinson and released on a promise to appear in 4th Division District Court on July 10.

Corey R. Aiello, 21, of 25 Nooseneck Hill Road, Richmond, was charged June 14 with driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs and refusal to submit to a chemical test to determine intoxication level after police said he was stopped for driving 64 mph in a 45 mph zone on Nooseneck Hill Road. He was transported to the station, arraigned before Justice of the Peace Michael Robinson and released on a promise to appear in 4th Division District Court at a later date.

Fredrick M. Whitney, 53, of 28 Beaver River Schoolhouse Road, Richmond, was charged June 13 on a charge of public drinking after a Richmond officer observed him drinking from a can of beer while sitting in the passenger’s seat of a car. He was processed at the Richmond station and released on a summons to appear in 4th Division District Court on July 24.
