Police: Stonington man, 65, attacked inside own storage shed

STONINGTON — Police are looking for a white male who allegedly stabbed a 65-year-old man who lives in the Lords Point area of town early Friday evening. The man was transported by ambulance to Lawrence + Memorial Hospital suffering from lacerations and puncture wounds, Capt. Jerry Desmond reported.

Police received a report of an attack at 6:06 p.m. and were called to the unidentified man’s home where the alleged victim said he was assaulted by a younger blond-haired male with a “sharp instrument or a knife,” inside his storage shed located under his residence.

Desmond said the case is under investigation and the initial call was handled by Stonington detectives and a Groton Police unit with a dog.

Police said anyone who was in the area who may have seen anything suspicious should call the Stonington Police Department at 860-599-4411.
