4th Division District Court: June 6, 2014

WAKEFIELD — The following cases were heard before Judge Madeline Quirk in 4th Division District Court on Thursday.

Rachel C. Whaley, 36, of South Kingstown, pleaded no contest to a Charlestown police charge of driving under the influence of alcohol or drugs, blood alcohol content .15 or greater (readings .164, .161) and reckless driving. A charge of driving with a suspended license was dismissed. On the DUI charge, Whaley was sentenced to 20 hours of community service, a $500 fine, 20 hours of community service, a three-month loss of license and DUI school. On the reckless driving charge, she was sentenced to one year of probation with substance abuse counseling.

Joshua D. DeLuise, 28, of 45 Stillwater Road, Charlestown, pleaded not guilty to a Charlestown police charge of driving under the influence of alcohol and/or drugs, blood alcohol level unknown and refusal to submit to a chemical test to determine intoxication levels.
