Hopkinton Republicans should attend meeting

I remind those registered voters either Republican or unaffiliated that wish to run as a Republican candidate this year in Hopkinton, should attend the next meeting of the Hopkinton Republican Town Committee, at the Hopkinton Police Station, 406 Woodville Road in Hopkinton on Thursday, May 22, at 7 p.m. Whether you want to run for town office or join the local Hopkinton Republican Town Committee, you should attend. If you cannot attend and interested or has any questions, they should contact committee officers “Ken” Mott, who chairs the committee at 401-688-7140; or myself who vice chairs it at 401-377-4643; or email scottbillhirst@yahoo.com.

The Hopkinton Republican Town Committee officially is the governing body of the Republicans in Hopkinton. They do the official endorsement of candidates of the Republicans in our town. However anyone can run for office as a Republican, whether endorsed or not. They have to be a registered Republican or have not been affiliated with another party, within ninety days of filing.
