RIGHT NOW I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF As president of the Granite Theatre, I am heading our capital campaign for our restoration project to “preserve the granite.”
BORN, RAISED & GREW UP IN Woonsocket.
FAVORITE WAY TO SPEND MY TIME Playing my keyboard and sax (not at the same time of course).
PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT Converting the real estate company I owned to an “agent owned” company (one of the first in the country).
WHAT I’D LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED FOR I got things done!
ON MY BUCKET LIST No time for a bucket list.
ALWAYS IN MY POCKET Usually I can’t find what I should have in my pocket. (My wife, Pat, always knows where I left my stuff, though!!)
WHAT I WANTED TO BE WHEN I GREW UP An attorney. (My father thought it would be best to study engineering ... which I did.)
PERSON THAT HAS INFLUENCED ME THE MOST A lot of people have influenced me in life. However, the one who has had the largest influence to my life has to be my wife, Pat. We have been together 28 years and have actually worked together those 28 years. She is always there working with me side by side ... quite often keeping me going (and sane). Whatever I have accomplished, I could not have done it without her. I know it sounds a little sappy but she truly has been my partner in life.
FAVORITE AUTHOR John Grisham.
LAST BOOK READ “Sycamore Road.”
FAVORITE SONG I love them all, so no real favorite.
FAVORITE MOVIE Too many to mention. (I don’t like suspense movies — I’m a real chicken.)
FAVORITE TV SHOW “House of Cards.”
FAVORITE PET Every one that I ever owned. Now it’s Billie (springer) and Daisy (havanese).
FAVORITE MEAL Lobster and raw oysters.
AMOUNT OF TIME I SPEND A DAY ON FACEBOOK Since I live in front of my computer for work, too much.
TRAIT I MOST ADMIRE Honesty.
PET PEEVE People who are late.
FAVORITE QUOTATION Just do it.
MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT OUR LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD Everything: the beach, the people, the community spirit. Westerly is my home for seven years. Wish I had moved here as a kid.
CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT Something to do
LITTLE-KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME I speak French
BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED From my dad: Always be honest. If you tell the truth, you will never have to remember what you said.
ADVICE I BEST LIKE TO GIVE Just do it. There is nothing worse than inaction.
IF I RULED THE WORLD Already have too much on my plate.
IF I WON THE LOTTERY, THE FIRST THING I WOULD DO IS Fully restore the Granite Theatre, take a one-month river cruise in Europe, get a bigger boat, and save the rest for my kids.
I DRIVE A 2010 Highlander.
I WISH I DROVE A Harley (would probably not be alive long enough to be in The Easy Chair, though).
ALWAYS IN MY FRIDGE Leftovers ... that’s the best.
IF I COULD HAVE DINNER AND A CONVERSATION WITH ANYONE IN THE WORLD I WOULD CHOOSE
My mom and dad. I lost my mom four years ago and my dad 27 years ago. It’s hard to remember conversations we had together. I would like to catch up with them — just the three of us.
