Westerly Hospital offers free colon cancer program


WESTERLY — In honor of National Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month, Westerly Hospital is offering a free program titled “Colorectal Cancer Prevention, Screening and Early Detection.”

The program, presented by Brad Lavigne, MD, gastroenterologist, and Laryl Riley, nurse practitioner, will be held at Westerly Hospital’s Henry J. Nardone Conference Center, 25 Wells St., on Tuesday, March 18, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. The presentation will include risk factors for colon cancer, the latest screening techniques, and how to prepare for testing.
