Opening reception for student exhibit at Hoxie Gallery in Westerly


WESTERLY — Westerly Library’s Hoxie Gallery, 44 Broad St., will host an opening reception for its monthly art exhibit on Wednesday, Feb. 5, from 5 to 7:30 p.m. The exhibit features art and sculpture created by students at Westerly High School. There will be a wide variety of art, from ceramics to black and white pieces, to colorful paintings.

The reception is part of the February First Wednesday Night Art Stroll in downtown Westerly and Pawcatuck, when shops, galleries and restaurants will be open.

Programs at the library are free, open to the public, and handicapped accessible. Call 401-596-2877, Ext. 3, for more information.
