WESTERLY — A genealogy workshop, conducted by Susan Cline, a professional genealogist, will be held at the Westerly Library on Tuesday, Feb.11, at 6 p.m.
The workshop, “How to Utilize the Internet in Doing Genealogy Research,” will concentrate on the features of numerous websites that are used for genealogical research. Both paid sites and free sites will be examined and described, as well as sites that are devoted to specific countries, such as Ireland or Canada.
There are also sites that contain military records, naturalization records, state censuses, and some that may have images of original documents.
Participants may bring a laptop, although is not a prerequisite to participating in the class. The program is free and open to the public.
