‘America’s Got Talent’ coming to Providence

PROVIDENCE — Got talent? Head to Providence next month to see if you will be the next national star on America’s Got Talent.

The hit NBC reality show is coming to Providence next month and open call auditions will be held on Saturday, Feb. 1 at the Rhode Island Convention Center.

The show’s producers want to make sure that local folks don’t miss out on their chance to showcase their talent to the show’s producers. The winner of the talent show not only receives $1,000,000 but is given a launchpad for his or her career.

“America’s Got Talent has the ability to change someone’s life,” said Maria Fischer, one of the organizers of the Providence event. “We want to make sure as many people as possible are aware of the chance to try out.”

Anyone interested in auditioning can preregister online now at agtauditions.com.
