Comic Relief with WEEF at the Westerly Yacht Club

WESTERLY — Tony V, a Boston-based comedian who has shared the stage with Jay Leno, Dennis Miller and Adam Sandler, will perform at the Westerly Yacht Club, 1 Watch Hill Road, on Saturday at Comic Relief with WEEF, a benefit for the Westerly Education Endowment Fund. Joining him will be Stacy Kendro, another Boston-based comedian.

A wine and beer tasting, courtesy of The Wine Store and Grey Sail Brewing, will be held at 6 p.m. followed by the show at 9 p.m.

La Grua Center hosting ‘Twelve Inking’ exhibit

STONINGTON — La Grua Center, 32 Water St., will present “Twelve Inking” by New England Printmakers, on Friday, from 5 to 7 p.m.

Watermarks, platemarks, chine colle, and a la Poupee methods will be on display. The 12 artists are Marie Louise Long, Susan Nichols, Jennifer Wheeler, Bethany Bonner, Shirley Bernstein, Margot Rocklen, Casey Welbust, Alida Ferrari, Rita Dawley, Sadie Davidson DeVore, Annie Wildey, and Carol Dunn.

This event is open to the public and free of charge, but donations will be accepted.

Library hosting talk on Virginia Woolf

MYSTIC — The Mystic & Noank Library, 40 Library St., will host a discussion about author Virginia Woolf on Monday, Nov. 4, at 7 p.m.

“Virginia Woolf — Her Tumultuous Life” will be presented by Kenneth Knott, a member of the International Virginia Woolf Society. Knott will give review of her life, and speak about how her life affected her writing and why her writing style is important. The presentation will include a discussion of her childhood, the Bloomsbury Group, and several of her novels.
