A 115,000-volt transmission line that feeds the Wood River Junction substation went off-line Tuesday morning, affecting customers in southern Rhode Island and southeastern Connecticut.
National Grid spokesperson David Graves said the momentary loss of power to the substation at 6:22 a.m. had customers experiencing a “very brief” loss of power. Graves said although the interruption in service was brief, it would have affected computers and digital devices.
Graves said the company is trying to determine the cause of the interruption
