Upcoming R.I. small business training events, seminars

The following are this week’s scheduled Rhode Island small business training events:


How to Explore the 8(a) Government Contracting Program, from the U.S. Small Business Administration and the Center for Women & Enterprise, 132 George M. Cohan Blvd. in Providence. The program runs from 2 to 4 p.m. and is free. To register, visit or call 401-277-0800.

Thursday — It’s Who They Know That Counts: Advanced Power Networking, 9 a.m. The seminar is free.

Thursday — Growth Spurt: The major breakthrough strategies you need to grow your business now, 6:30 p.m. The seminar costs $18.63.
