Pair of men indicted on child molestation charges at Washington County Superior Court

WAKEFIELD — Two men were arraigned in Washington County Superior Court Thursday on Narragansett police charges of child molestation involving the same girl under age 14 on multiple dates.

Roman Comer, 34, of 44 Tefft Hill Road, Wyoming, and Jamie Ratti, 57, of 128 Oakwoods Drive, South Kingstown, did not enter pleas to the charges when they appeared before Judge Melanie Wilk Thunberg Friday for their initial appearance. Narragansett Police charged Comer with one count of first-degree child molestation, three counts of second-degree child molestation and one count of assault with a dangerous weapon, a knife.

Ratti is charged with two counts of first-degree child molestation.

Narragansett police say Ratti and Comer molested a girl younger than 14. Police also allege that Comer used a knife during the assault.

Both were released on $10,000 personal recognizance with a pretrial date of Oct. 25. The men were issued no-contact orders with the alleged victim.
