Charlestown man held on domestic charges

Frank Palmiere, 48, of 144A Land Harbor Drive, Charlestown, was held without bail after appearing in 4th Division District Court before Associate Judge Frank J. Cenerini on Friday.

Palmiere was arrested by Charlestown police Friday morning on charges of domestic assault and domestic disorderly conduct as a result of an early morning incident. Meanwhile, Palmiere also was the subject of a warrant on charges he did not appear to pay court costs.

Palmiere, who had been held by police and then in the courthouse lockup until he was brought before the judge, appeared confused about the new charges and continued to try to ask questions.

Judge Cenerini explained to Palmiere that he had violated a promise to keep the peace, which was on a previous filing when he was arrested. He is being held as a violator until his hearing on Wednesday.
