Charlestown woman charged with ‘enticing’ 14-year-old

WAKEFIELD — A Charlestown woman faces felony charges of sending obscene material and enticing a 14-year-old Attleboro, Mass., girl she made contact with on Facebook into meeting her in at a park near her home.

Hayley Wilkinson, 19, of 70 Stillwater Road, was arrested on a warrant by Charlestown police Thursday. She waived extradition to Attleboro before Fourth Division District Court Judge Madeline Quirk and was held without bail while she awaited officers from the Massachusetts town.

According to reports, Attleboro police began their investigation on July 14, when the teen’s parent filed a complaint with police. The two reportedly communicated on Facebook and another site for three months.

Police allege Wilkinson was aware of the younger female’s age while they maintained the online relationship in which she sent partially undressed photos of herself..

On July 13, according to a police report, Wilkinson asked to “hang out” with the girl in a local park in the Attleboro area.

Police said that the two, and a friend of the alleged victim, made contact in the park.

The alleged victim said she never had contact with Wilkinson after that meeting.
