WESTERLY — Under the direction of new owner Mike Volpe, Westerly Fitness has announced plans for expansion, as well as new wellness programs — just in time for the center’s one-year anniversary.
Volpe has been involved in the fitness industry for more than 10 years. He has been a fitness trainer since 2008, a professional wrestler from 2003 to 2012, and he is the owner and founder of SBV, High Quality Supplements. His plans for the fitness center include a 1,600-square-foot addition to the current gym, improved and expanded Group X and spin class schedules, new weightlifting machines, as well as a nutrition center within the gym.
“I am so excited about this great venture,” Volpe said. “Fitness is part of my life and I want to let our members know that we are a results-driven gym. Our new programs will allow our staff to help our club members plan achievable goals, stay on track and bring them inspiration when they need a boost to their commitment to themselves.”
