Rhode Island Gov. Lincoln D. Chafee is calling for a moment of silence on Wednesday to mark the 12th anniversary of the Sept. 11 attacks.
The moment of silence will be voluntary and held at 8:46 a.m.
“It is with great sadness that we prepare to mark the 12th anniversary of the September 11 attacks,” Chafee said in a press release. To honor that day’s many victims, from Rhode Island, across the country, and around the world, I ask that Rhode Islanders observe a respectful moment of silence ...”
