I-95 north reopened after crash


HOPE VALLEY -- A second person was taken to The Westerly Hospital by Hope Valley Ambulance with injuries suffered as the result of the I-95 crash said Hope Valley-Wyoming Fire Department Chief Fred Stanley. The injured man was the second driver in the two-vehicle collision near Exit 2 in the area of Reynolds Farm.

Stanley said traffic was stopped on the interstate in both directions as Lifestar landed on I-95 north to take the other injured man to Rhode Island Hospital, where his injuries are said to be non-life threatening. He said emergency personnel were able to get Lifestar off the ground and the road open within 20 minutes, he said.

Ashaway Ambulance personnel as well as Rhode Island State Police and Hopkinton Police were on the scene.
