R.I. State Police

Members of the Violent Fugitive Task Force arrested Laird Yard, 33, of 27 Acorn Drive, Westerly, Thursday. He was charged on a federal warrant for violation of probation on an original charge of possession of a firearm. Yard was turned over to the U.S. Marshals service and arraigned in Providence federal court.

Richard J. Manfredi, 64, no address, was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct and vandalism/malicious injury to property.

Timothy A. Orr, 32, of 34 Pleasant St., Westerly, was charged Thursday with disorderly conduct and resisting legal or illegal arrest.

Matthew D. Downing, 55, of 5 Pleasant St., Westerly, was charged Friday with simple assault or battery and disorderly conduct.
