  • Wireless Zone awarded Business of the Month for July

MYSTIC — Each month, the Greater Mystic Chamber of Commerce highlights a member business deserving special recognition, and the July recipient of the Business of the Month award is Wireless Zone, located at 220 Route 12 in Groton.

Throughout the month of June, the chamber received nominations for this award from businesses in many different industries. The award is based on several factors, including outstanding community involvement, achievements and overall success.

Wireless Zone has been a community partner and leader in southeastern Connecticut for the past 20 years. Initially founded at the beginning of the “cellphone age,” Wireless Zone started in Connecticut in 1988 and has now spread nationally.

Neil Ryan and Scott Gladstone, owners of the Groton Wireless Zone, have been in the business for more than 20 years. Throughout that time, they have maintained their commitment to the local community on numerous occasions and have provided superb customer service to their patrons. They have given more than $100,000 to local nonprofit organizations and have been involved with many local initiatives, including the Mystic Irish Parade, which is now one of the largest in the area.
