Whaler cruise part of Stonington battle bicentennial events

STONINGTON – Tickets are now available for cruises out of Stonington Borough aboard the Mystic Whaler, on Saturday, Aug. 9, as part of the Bicentennial of the Battle of Stonington celebration.

One-hour cruises, each narrated by a local historian, are scheduled for 10 and 11:30 a.m. and 1 and 2:30 p.m., with boarding 15 minutes prior to departure. There will also be a special 2 hour dinner cruise boarding at 5:45 pm.

The trips depart from the dock operated by the New England Science and Sailing, 70 Water St. Tickets for the day cruises are $30 for adults and $15 for children 12 years and under. The dinner cruise is $150 per person.

Tickets are available by cash or check at the Old Lighthouse Museum, 7 Water St., during museum hours, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. every day except Wednesday.
