The write touch for Pendleton Pals

For the students at St. Michael School in Pawcatuck, writing notes, cards and holiday greetings to residents of the Pendleton Health and Rehabilitation has been a way to exchange “from the heart” messages with their “Pendleton Penpals.” The program has been an ongoing opportunity to emphasize the value of community relationships and to inspire special-occasion visits to express best wishes and support to the students’ “Pendleton Pals.” In photo, Pendleton resident Richard Metayer is flanked by sixth graders Abby Remmert and George Hillegass.
