WATERFORD — Ashaway’s Kyle James earned his seventh SK-Modified feature win of the season Saturday at the New London-Waterford Speedbowl.
James started eighth in the feature and took the lead 23 laps later in the 40-lap event.
“The car has been hooked up every time we go racing,” James said in a press release from the Speedbowl. “I have no complaints. We’re able to put the car wherever we want. But the outside tonight definitely was the place to go.”
James leads the points race by 16 points over Rob Janovic Jr.
Westerly’s Michael Benevides finished fifth in the 30-lap Late Model race and Richmond’s Dylan Cabral placed sixth.
Rit Shawn finished seventh in the 30-lap Sportsman race.
Ian Brew of Wood River Junction was third in the 25-lap Mini Stocks event.
