PAWCATUCK — During cold weather, the public is welcome to use the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center as a warming center during business hours, Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. The center is at 27 Chase St. in Pawcatuck. Area residents who need a place to get warm are welcome to spend time in the center’s second floor space, said Susan Sedensky, executive director. “We have computers there that people can use to do employment searches and we have a couch and a little coffee table,” she said. “If people are cold, we want them to know it’s a place where they can come in and get warm.” For more information, call the Pawcatuck Neighborhood Center at 860-599-3285.
