WESTERLY — Detectives are developing leads and working to identify suspects in a reported robbery of the CVS store at 150 Granite St. Thursday morning.
Police Chief Richard Silva said a preliminary investigation found that two men had entered th Granite Street store at about 6 a.m. and demanded money from a clerk. They fled after taking an undisclosed amount of cash.
No weapons were shown, the police said, and no injuries were reported. “We are looking at all angles and possible evidence as we seek to develop suspects in this case,” Silva said. “The case is still very active.” The police did not provide a description of the men.
