Man jumped from balcony and fled officers after domestic incident in Pawcatuck

STONINGTON — A Pawcatuck man was arrested Monday morning after the police said he jumped from a second-floor balcony and fled after learning that officers were en route to a domestic complaint at his apartment building.

The man, Corey J. Randolph Jr., 23, of 375 Liberty St., Apt. 12, was charged with risk of injury to a minor, breach of peace and possession of marijuana. The police were called to his  apartment at about 10:30 a.m. after a domestic incident involving a woman who was holding a baby. Neither the woman nor the baby were injured.

An incident report indicated that Randolph fled into a wooded area. Officers established a search perimeter and he was found a short time later on White Rock Road. He was taken into custody  and was later released on bond pending arraignment in New London Superior Court.
