WESTERLY — The fifth annual “Rock & Roll Christmas Show” to benefit Westerly’s animal shelter, Stand Up For Animals, will take place at The Knickerbocker Music Center on Sunday, Dec. 10, at 6 p.m.
As always, the show will be presented by musician John Speziale and Keith Cowley, founder of New England Song Writers Invitational.
Musical headliners are Speziale & Friends, featuring members of well-known area bands including The Hoolios, Sweet Mercy, Sunday Gravy and selected other bands, playing a rocking Christmas set and a second “jam” set. Opening the show will be the popular duo The Choos, featuring Phil Adams and Brett Boardman.
Included in the evening of fun, said Speziale, will be dancing, food, drink, a strolling fiddler, a photo booth, raffles, a silent auction and special guest Dancing Santa.
Speziale said, also, as in years past, there will be a hula-dancing contest.
All proceeds will be donated to Stand Up For Animals in support of their mission to help and provide homes for animals in need, Speziale said.
There is a suggested donation of $10 at the door.
