RIGHT NOW I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF: Putting together the Westerly Sound event series for the summer and trying to find funding for a new Westerly Folk Festival.

I ENJOY SPENDING MY TIME: Surfing, working in my studio and walking on East Beach. In the summer I like to swim nude on East Beach.

MY PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Visiting all 48 continental U.S. states and Alaska more than four times each.

I’D LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED FOR: Being a pretty nice guy, and bringing positivity to other people’s lives somehow.

TOP ON MY BUCKET LIST: Owning a boat or a dinghy (I’m close).

ALWAYS IN MY POCKET: Keys and a tea tree toothpick.

WHAT I WANTED TO BE WHEN I GREW UP: A high-scoring hockey player for the New Jersey Devils.

PERSON WHO HAS INFLUENCED ME THE MOST: My folks and Bob Dylan.

FAVORITE AUTHOR: Undecided.

BOOKS ON MY NIGHTSTAND: Kerouac’s “Mexico City Blues,” and some stuff from Thich Nhat Hanh.

I AM LISTENING TO: The War on Drugs, and Hailu Mergia.

LAST MOVIE WATCHED: I watched that film with Clint Eastwood as a baseball scout on the plane recently. Pretty good.

FAVORITE TV SHOW: “Seinfeld.”

FAVORITE SONG: Currently it’s “Mr. Sandman,” by Chet Atkins.

FAVORITE COMFORT FOOD: Anything with cheese.

TRAIT I MOST ADMIRE: Concentration.

PET PEEVE: Farmstands that sell food they dont grow locally, and people who throw non-degradable trash on the ground.

MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT OUR LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD: The ocean, of course.

CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT: Freedom of speech.

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED: Be kind to everyone.

ADVICE I BEST LIKE TO GIVE: Sally’s, not Pepe’s.

IF I RULED THE WORLD I WOULD: Enact a mandatory hour at noon each day for meditation. 

IF I WON THE LOTTERY, THE FIRST THING I WOULD DO IS: Have another folk festival in Wilcox Park.
