BORN, RAISED & GREW UP IN: Setauket, N.Y.

RIGHT NOW I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF: Making sure everyone in Watch Hill has delicious wine to enjoy during their stays at the Ocean House and Weekapaug Inn. I’m also planning some exciting new wine events and dinners including a Pink Party on Aug. 11 and an Opus One Wine Dinner on Sept. 6.

I ENJOY SPENDING MY TIME: Surfing and being on the beach with my rescue dogs.

MY PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Earning a job at two Relais & Chateau properties in the Ocean House Management Collection that allows me to share my passions (and make my parents, Barbara and Scott Swain, proud).

I’D LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED FOR: Making people smile and pouring them great wines.

BOOKS ON MY NIGHT STAND: “Barbarian Days: A Surfing Life,” by William Finnegan; and “Surfing with Sartre,” by Aaron James.

I AM LISTENING TO: Hugh Laurie, his bluesy R&B is pretty cool.

FAVORITE MOVIE: “Caddyshack.”

LAST MOVIE WATCHED: “Sour Grapes.”

FAVORITE TV SHOW: “Jeopardy!”

FAVORITE COMFORT FOOD: Burrata and heirloom tomatoes with fresh basil and aged balsamic with a great extra virgin olive oil.

MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT OUR LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD: 400 miles of coastline to surf and explore!

CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT: My two Puerto Rican rescue dogs Willy & Karlito. 

LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME: I love dark chocolate and cashews.

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED: Send handwritten thank you notes.

ADVICE I BEST LIKE TO GIVE:  Try all the wines you can, you will discover wonderful pleasures of the world.

IF I RULED THE WORLD I WOULD: Clean up all the oceans. 

IF I WON THE LOTTERY, THE FIRST THING I WOULD DO IS: Buy my mom a beach house right on the water. 

I DRIVE A: 2013 maroon Honda Pilot but I ride a custom-made, Ocean House yellow Whispering Angel surfboard.

I WISH I DROVE A: Navy blue Mercedes G wagon with custom roof racks for my long boards.

ALWAYS IN MY FRIDGE: Rosé Champagne, Rosé Still, Chardonnay, hummus, cucumbers, tomatoes, farm fresh eggs, a drawer full of gourmet cheeses and sparkling water. 

IF I COULD INVITE ONE SPECIAL PERSON TO JOIN ME FOR DINNER AND CONVERSATION, I WOULD INVITE:  Heidi Barrett.

IF I COULD HOST A DINNER PARTY WITH A GROUP OF PEOPLE FROM THE PAST, PRESENT OR FUTURE, I WOULD INVITE: My family and friends with Bob Dylan, Bob Marley, Bono, Kelly Slater, Anthony Bourdain, Rob Machado, Edward R. Murrow, Walter Cronkite, Madam Veuve Clicquot, Winston Churchill and then some.
