RESIDENCE: Westerly and loving it.

RIGHT NOW I’M IN THE MIDDLE OF: Planning our Father’s Day Car Show here at Central Baptist Church of Westerly.

I ENJOY SPENDING MY TIME: With people

MY PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Being a survivor. I overcame a number of hardships and trials early on in life. Today I feel blessed as I encourage others to claim the life God wants them to have.

I’D LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED FOR: Being that person who was there for someone when they needed me. 

TOP ON MY BUCKET LIST: To be a published author.

ALWAYS IN MY POCKET: My cellphone.

WHAT I WANTED TO BE WHEN I GREW UP:  An comedic actor like Bob Hope or Jerry Lewis.

PERSON WHO HAS INFLUENCED ME THE MOST: My pastor, the Rev. Dr. John Brooks.

FAVORITE AUTHOR: James Patterson and Max Lucado.

BOOKS ON MY NIGHT STAND: “The Plague Dogs,” by Richard Adams.

I AM LISTENING TO: Brad Paisley.

LAST MOVIE WATCHED: I go to the movies twice a month and just saw “Avengers: Infinity War.”

FAVORITE TV SHOW: “The Walking Dead.” (I love the interpersonal drama between the characters as they try to find their moral compass in a world that has no rules or outside authority.)

FAVORITE SONG: Lonestar’s “My Front Porch”

FAVORITE COMFORT FOOD: Peanut butter cup ice cream.

SOCIAL NETWORKING SITES I USE MOSTLY: Facebook.

TRAIT I MOST ADMIRE:  Civility.

PET PEEVE: Rudeness.

FAVORITE QUOTATION: What you are is God’s gift to you. What you make of yourself is your gift to God.

MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT OUR LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD: Wilcox Park and the downtown. I walk through them every day.

CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT: Family and friends.

LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME: I grew up riding horses, motorcycles and living on a farm.

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED: Be yourself! Don’t try to be someone you are not.

ADVICE I BEST LIKE TO GIVE: Give a little grace to the people you meet. You never know what demon they are fighting.

IF I RULED THE WORLD I WOULD: I would find a way to make all our schools safe for our children. 

IF I WON THE LOTTERY, THE FIRST THING I WOULD DO IS: Find a way to bless those people who have blessed me. That’s how I got the Mustang. Remind me to tell you that story one day. (See online video.)

I DRIVE A: Most days I drive a 2004 gray Toyota minivan.

I WISH I DROVE A: A candy apple red Mustang convertible… oh never mind.

ALWAYS IN MY FRIDGE: American cheese.

IF I COULD INVITE ONE SPECIAL PERSON TO JOIN ME FOR DINNER AND CONVERSATION, I WOULD INVITE:  My natural mom, the late Gayle Lord, who died when I was 13.
