I ENJOY SPENDING MY TIME: Hiking, dancing, going to concerts, traveling, taking photos, spending time with family and friends. 

MY PROUDEST ACCOMPLISHMENT: Being the first person in my family to earn their bachelor’s degree (ECSU ’13) and more recently, being named “New Campaign Coordinator of the Year” by the United Way of Southeastern CT for 2018. 

I’D LIKE TO BE REMEMBERED FOR: Being a hard worker and a good person. 

TOP ON MY BUCKET LIST: 1) Be in a music video 2) Do a cross country road trip

ALWAYS IN MY POCKET: My cellphone.

WHAT I WANTED TO BE WHEN I GREW UP: As a kid I always wanted to be the host of “TRL” (Total Request Live) on MTV. 

PERSON WHO HAS INFLUENCED ME THE MOST: My mom, Mary Shabunia, who puts everyone else before herself and works harder than anyone I know. 

FAVORITE AUTHOR: My favorite book is “Bossypants” by Tina Fey.

I AM LISTENING TO: My favorite bands Lake Street Drive and HIRIE.

FAVORITE MOVIE: I just saw “A Quiet Place” and loved it! Highly recommended. 

FAVORITE TV SHOWS: “ “Parks and Recreation” and “Stranger Things.”

FAVORITE SONG: “Tiny Dancer.”

FAVORITE COMFORT FOOD: The Chocolate Decadence dessert at C.C. O’Brien’s.

PET PEEVE: Lying.

FAVORITE QUOTATION: “Be the Leslie Knope of whatever you do” (“Parks and Rec” reference); I have this hanging in my office to remind me to give it my all every day. 

MY FAVORITE THING ABOUT OUR LITTLE CORNER OF THE WORLD: The unique small businesses and the beach.

CAN’T LIVE WITHOUT:  Going to Koi once a week. 

LITTLE KNOWN FACT ABOUT ME: I am an avid consignment store shopper. I love getting a good deal.

BEST ADVICE I EVER RECEIVED: Pretty much any advice given to me by my mentor, Lisa Konicki. 

ADVICE I BEST LIKE TO GIVE: Do what makes you happy! 

IF I RULED THE WORLD I WOULD: Make sure everyone has health care and food on their tables. 

IF I WON THE LOTTERY, THE FIRST THING I WOULD DO IS: Travel the world. 

I DRIVE A: Silver 2011 Toyota Corolla from Valenti Toyota.

I WISH I DROVE: A Jeep or an SUV.

ALWAYS IN MY FRIDGE: Peanut sauce for stir-fry.

IF I COULD INVITE A FEW FAMOUS PEOPLE TO JOIN ME FOR DINNER AND CONVERSATION, I WOULD INVITE: Amy Poehler and/or Tina Fey. 

IF I COULD INVITE ONE SPECIAL PERSON FROM THE PAST, PRESENT OR FUTURE TO JOIN ME FOR DINNER, I WOULD INVITE: My grandfather, Tony Capalbo, who passed away 5 years ago.
