Celebrations to help you ring in the New Year:

James Bond New Year’s Eve Gala

7:30 p.m. to 12:30 a.m.; Ocean House, 1 Bluff Ave., Watch Hill.

The Ocean House annual New Year’s Eve gala’s theme will be James Bond with dinner and dessert stations, signature cocktails,  live music and photo opportunities. Tickets are $185. Visit or call 888-853-2919 for more information.

New Year’s Eve Bonfire

4:30 to 7 p.m.; Ninigret Park 4540 South County Trail, Charlestown.

The Charlestown Parks and Recreation Department will hold their annual New Year’s Eve Bonfire.

Black and White Ball

8 p.m. to 1 a.m.; Mystic Aquarium, 55 Coogan Blvd., Mystic.

Mystic Aquarium will host a Black and White Ball with entertainment by Nancy Paolino & The Black Tie Band and a guest appearance by a pair of endangered African penguins. There will be food provided by Ocean Blue Catering and drinks. Tickets are $125. For tickets or more information, visit

Neal and the Vipers

7:30 p.m.; Courthouse Center for the Arts, 3481 Kingstown Road, West Kingston.

The Courthouse Center for the Arts New Year’s Eve Bash will feature Neal and the Vipers, food, prizes and raffles. Tickets are $40. For tickets or more information, visit

Countdown to Noon

10 a.m. to 2 p.m.; East Lyme Community Center, 41 Society Road, Niantic.

The Children's Museum of Southeastern Connecticut and East Lyme Parks & Recreation will host a New Year's event for children and families, featuring a balloon drop at noon, a photo booth and children's activities. Midnight at the Hygienic

7 p.m.; Hygienic Art, 79 Bank St., New London.

Hygienic Art will hold a Midnight at the Hygienic celebration to ring in the New Year. The night will include dinner, music from the Post Traumatic Jazz Disorder band, dancing to the Chris Leigh Blues Band, a silent auction and a raffle of original artwork. For tickets or more information, visit

Music in the Galleries

1 to 4 p.m.; Florence Griswold Museum, 96 Lyme St., Old Lyme.
