PORTSMOUTH — The Vox Hunters – the duo of Armand Aromin and Benedict Gagliardi – have developed a reputation as seekers and singers of old songs, tireless multi-instrumentalists, and a driving force of traditional folk music in Rhode Island.
The pair will perform Saturday in Portsmouth to kick off Common Fence Music’s 2018 season.
The new season will feature a variety of artists at both their venues, Common Fence Point Hall, 933 Anthony Road, Portsmouth and Hope & Main, 691 Main St., Warren.
March performers will include Brenda Castles & Niamh Ní Bhríain, Otis Read with Cathy Clasper-Torch & Jim Corwin, and The Vox Hunters on Saturday, March 10, at Common Fence Point Hall; Anna & Elizabeth with Ian Fitzgerald on Friday, March 16, at Hope & Main and Anaїs Mitchell on Saturday, March 24, at Common Fence Point Hall.
April performers will include Trio Da Kali on Saturday, April 7, at Common Fence Point Hall; Woody Pines on Saturday, April 14, at Common Fence Point Hall; Dean Fields w/Kate Mick on Friday, April 20, at Hope & Main and An evening with Mary Gauthier on Saturday, April 28, at Common Fence Point Hall.
