Washington Trust refinances apartments, declares dividend

WESTERLY  — Washington Trust has announced that it has provided $16.5 million to TR Washington LLC for the refinancing of a luxury multifamily apartment building in Norwalk, Conn. The building, called SoNo Pearl, is a new five-story structure, with 66 units, in the downtown area known as SoNo. It has a two-level parking structure and 17 units on the second, third and fourth floors and 15 units on the fifth floor. 

Julia Anne M. Slom, senior vice president and team leader of the bank’s commercial real estate group, said, “The units and amenities are beautifully designed to fit into this vibrant market, and we are so pleased to be a part of this endeavor.”

In another announcement, the board of directors of the bank’s corporate parent declared a quarterly dividend of 39 cents per share for the quarter ending Dec. 31. The dividend will be paid Jan. 12, 2018, to shareholders of record on Jan. 2.
