Southern RhodeIsland Volunteers

SRIV is in need of volunteers to help work the Pomona Kitchen at the Washington County Fair from Aug. 15 to19. Volunteers will be taking orders and serving food to customers. Available shifts are 11 a.m. to 3 p.m., 3 to 7 p.m., and 7 to 11 p.m.

Drivers needed at SRIV for medical transports and grocery shopping with local, homebound seniors. Opportunities are flexible and can be based around your schedule.

A food pantry in North Kingstown is looking for volunteers to help with food stocking, data entry and taking customers shopping in the pantry.

Beacon Hospice

Beacon Hospice in North Kingstown is seeking local volunteers to visit our hospice patients in the Westerly area. As an important part of the hospice care team, you can help improve the quality of life for patients and caregivers by offering companionship, playing music, reading to the patient and providing caregiver respite. Tri-CountyCommunityAction Agency

Volunteers are needed who can support the food distribution program, located at 34 Pond St. in Westerly. Distribution is on the last Tuesday of each month. Volunteers are needed between 9 and 10 a.m. to assist with packing items for client pickup between 1 and 3 p.m.

Westerly Hospital

Adult volunteers help in our Emergency Department. Candidates must be customer focused, flexible, and willing to work in a fast-paced and sometimes challenging environment.
